Lattice Qcd and the Standard Model *
نویسنده
چکیده
Most of the poorly known parameters of the Standard Model cannot be determined without reliable calculations in nonperturbative QCD. Lattice gauge theory provides a first-principles definition of the required functional integrals, and hence offers ways of performing these calculations. This paper reviews the progress in computing hadron spectra and electroweak matrix elements needed to determine α S , the quark masses, and the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix.

Data Envelopment Analysis from simulation on the Lattice QCD using CCR model
One of the most serious principles in production theory in economic is the principle of "efficiency". Simply put, efficiency can be defined as the demand that the desired goals (outputs) are achieved with the minimum use of the available resources (inputs). In order to, distinguish the relative efficiency of organizational units with multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs, "Data Envelopmen...
متن کاملDetermination of Standard Model Parameters from Lattice Qcd
In this talk I review some recent results from lattice QCD calculations which aim to a more accurate determination of the Standard Model parameters in the quark sector. After a review of our current knowledge of these parameters, I present lattice results for the strange, charm and bottom quark masses, the CKM matrix element Vub and the complex CKM phase δ, which induces CP violation effects in...
متن کاملStatus of Lattice QCD
Significant progress has recently been achieved in the lattice gauge theory calculations required for extracting the fundamental parameters of the standard model from experiment. Recent lattice determinations of such quantities as the kaon B parameter, the mass of the b quark, and the strong coupling constant have produced results and uncertainties as good or better than the best conventional d...
متن کاملLattice QCD and New Physics searches: present and future
We discuss the key role played by Lattice QCD in searching for New Physics in the flavour sector. We present the current status of the Unitarity Triangle analysis in the Standard Model and beyond, and outline future developments.
متن کاملExternal and Internal Incompressible Viscous Flows Computation using Taylor Series Expansion and Least Square based Lattice Boltzmann Method
The lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has recently become an alternative and promising computational fluid dynamics approach for simulating complex fluid flows. Despite its enormous success in many practical applications, the standard LBM is restricted to the lattice uniformity in the physical space. This is the main drawback of the standard LBM for flow problems with complex geometry. Several app...
